Folks in film and video production know that it's not about who you know, but about who knows you. Building a network of relationships with diverse people in the industry is essential for:

  • becoming a sought-after professional in your area of expertise
  • finding collaborators for your dream team
  • staying top-of-mind for new opportunities
  • getting & giving advice

In this workshop, learn about strategic networking, and what goes into connecting with potential collaborators who have influence, expertise, or resources that can help you achieve your goals. And how you can return the favor!

Erica Brookhyser and Corrie Legge, workshop leaders and WIFVNE Networking Wednesday hosts, cover how to make the most out of attending industry events, participating in online communities, and leveraging social media. You’ll also have a chance to practice making a memorable first impression. And you’ll learn some ways to nurture your network over time, so that ultimately you become a trusted, sought-after creative in your professional circles.

Erica Brookhyser is an accomplished voiceover artist with over 15 years of performing experience. A trained opera singer, Erica completed her voiceover training at Edge Studio in New York. Her background in vocal performance, acting, teaching, and foreign languages brings extra versatility to Erica’s natural vocal richness. A sought-after VO for corporate videos and commercials, her client list includes The Washington Post, Nokia, Thomson Reuters, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Johns Hopkins University among others.

Corrie Legge is an actor, voiceover artist, creative productivity coach and all-around multi-passionate artist dedicated to the art of storytelling. As an actor and voiceover artist, she has appeared in many independent films, national commercials, animation, video games, audiobooks, and more. As a coach, Corrie helps multi-passionate storytellers and performers overcome artistic blocks and see their creative dreams to fruition without sacrificing the holistically fulfilled life they deserve.  Learn more at her website
