What's on tap for summer? Are you heading to a film festival? Working on a passion project?  Searching for a gig or new job? Join us for this Networking Wednesday to meet other WIFVNE members and connect with this month's special guests:  Alexandria Hunter-Whalen and Claudia Raschke.

Alexandria Hunter-Whalen is currently the VP of Strategy and Operations at MK3 Creative in Boston where she leads the production team and partners with the CEO on company growth and insights. Before that she was at Bose Corporation for more than 8 years as a Global Group Creative Manager in marketing communications and user experience. Additionally, she is a seasoned presentation coach with more than 15 years’ experience having worked with individuals and teams at the C-suite level to interns. Her unique background as an actor, spokesperson, producer, and global creative leader helps talent to be remarkable and remembered. She lives in Boston, MA and Newport RI and in her free time does yoga, makes a mean chili and herds her 3 rescue cats with her husband.

Claudia Raschke  was born in Hamburg, one of the largest European ports near the Baltic Sea in Northern Germany. Throughout her childhood the chain of movie theaters owned by her mother brought Claudia into the world of film. After college Claudia studied the art and technique of cinematography on the practical level while working with some of the most prominent and accomplished international filmmakers. Today she lives in New York City and is a founding member of the NYC Kamera Kollektiv, a boutique agency for documentary cinematographers and a member of AMPAS.

Among her many notable award-winning films are: Oscar-nominated and Emmy winning RBG (Magnolia/ Participant/ CNN), Oscar shot-listed JULIA (CNN / Imagine Entertainment/ Sony Classic), Critics Choice nominated FAUCI (NAT GEO/ Magnolia/ Disney+), Peabody winning and NAACP Image Award nominated MY NAME IS PAULI MURRAY (Amazon Studios/Participant Media), Oscar short-listed and Emmy winning BOYS STATE (A24), Oscar-nominated GOD IS THE BIGGER ELVIS (HBO), Oscar short-listed MAD HOT BALLROOM (Paramount), PARTICLE FEVER (Bond 360), THE FREEDOM TO MARRY (Argot Pictures). Her latest documentary series work titled THE HOUSE OF HAMMER (Discovery) aired Sept of 2022.

Currently Claudia is in production of a six-part documentary series about Eleanor and Franklin Roosevelt’s relationship during the four term run as a political couple and Eleanor’s work at the United Nation after FDR’s death. The release of the series is slated for Spring of 2024.

Many members are open to work, actively looking for freelance work, contemplating changing jobs, educating themselves, developing their passions, and planning for productions. Prior to this event, WIFVNE recommends that members update their Member Profile in the Member Directory, so connections can become collaborators!
