Michele Meek AMA: Networking Wednesday

Join WIFVNE Advisory Board and Writer/Director Michele Meek as she leads this WIFVNE Networking Wednesday session on screenwriting.

In this special evening edition of Networking Wednesday, Michele offers some thoughts on how to generate ideas for films and shape them into compelling stories, as well as how to get and incorporate feedback on your work. 

We invite you to come with your stories and screenplays in mind—at whatever stage—so you can learn from and share with other WIFVNE members about how to make the leap for your work from the page to the screen. Whether it's writers' groups, screenwriting labs, pitch events, or just dedicating more time to your work, Michele offers ways of stepping up your writing.

Michele Meek has written and directed several award-winning short films, including Imagine Kolle 37 and Red Sneakers. Her current film Bay Creek Tennis Camp was recently awarded a Make Film Art Grant from RI State Council on the Arts, and she recently was a participant in the Stowe Story Labs at Sidewalk Film Festival for her feature script Cruisin'. Michele teaches screenwriting as a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Bridgewater State University, and she has published in Ms. Magazine, Salon.com, Entrepreneur, and Script Magazine.
